The approach

Let the material do the talking.

Tackle twill uses cut fabric shapes secured with stitching. It gives larger lettering and numbers a different visual weight from a flat print or a fully stitched fill. The layout, number of layers, garment construction, and sewing access all influence the finished design.

Capability with a purpose

Made for
the details.

Layered letters & numbers

Plan a single layer for a clean silhouette or explore contrasting layers for a more dimensional athletic look. Colors and outlines should remain readable at game-day distance.

Appliqué planning

Fabric inserts can make a large design feel substantial without filling every area with embroidery. Shapes need room for secure stitched edges.

Garment compatibility

A sweatshirt front, jersey, and lined outerwear piece present different sewing constraints. Send the actual garment style before artwork is finalized.

Extra production time

Complex twill work requires more planning and handling. Our original order guidance allows roughly four to eight weeks for many twill projects; confirm the schedule for your specific order.

Best starting point

Straight answers

A few good questions.

A useful starting point. Your quote confirms the details for your order.

How is tackle twill different from embroidery?

Twill uses fabric to form the main shapes, with stitching around or through those shapes. Traditional embroidery builds the design primarily from thread.

Can I order names and numbers?

Include the complete roster, spelling, number list, garment sizes, and any placement requirements. We will review the layout and production options for that project.

Is every logo suitable for appliqué?

Small isolated details and narrow gaps may not translate well into cut fabric. Larger, simpler shapes usually give the technique more room to work.
